WHAT IS A CODE OF CONDUCT OR BEHAVIOUR? 
 
A Code of Conduct or Behaviour has been described as a set of consistent guidelines for an acceptable standard of professional conduct. 
 
A Code of Conduct or Behaviour will encourage players, coaches, officials, administrators, the media, parents and spectators to display control; respect and professionalism to all involved with the sport. 
 
Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from netball.  
 
Coaches, respect officials’ decisions. Teach / instruct players and spectators to do likewise. 
 
Show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them, players could not participate. 
 
Play be the Rules and in the spirit of the game. 
 
Never argue with an official. If you disagree, have your captain approach the official during a break or after the competition. 
 
Players, control your temper. Verbal or physical abuse of officials and sledging other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable behaviours in Netball. 
 
Verbal or physical abuse of officials by spectators, parents or coaches is not acceptable.
